How do I turn it on and off?
Push an hold down the red End/Power key, to the right of the Four Way Navigation Key, for four to eight seconds.
How do I lock the Keypad?
Press and hold the "*" key. This is also called the "Shift" key for 5 seconds. To unlock the keypad press the "*" key and then the "OK" key. This is really handy if you want to carry your phone in your pocket and not have it accidentally dial out. If your grandchild or young child is playing with your phone it is a good idea also. No accidental calls.
How do I adjust the ringer volume?
Push and hold the Right side of the Four Way Navigation Key. Then push up to make it louder or down to make it quieter. Press OK to select the level you want.
How do I silence the ringer without answering?
You can push the red end button while the phone is ringing to disconnect the call and stop the ringing if you do not want to answer the call.
How do I make a phone call?

How do I answer a phone call?
Select the green Send/Talk key while the phone is ringing.
How do I check my voice mail messages?
Click the left Four Way Navigation Key to go to "Messages" then click down to "Voicemail" and click "OK". This will make a phone call to your message box. You will be charged for the minutes.
How do I check my Text Messages?
Click the left Four Way Navigation Key to go to "Messages" then click down to "Inbox" and click "OK". You will see the start of the text message, if you click on the message you will be charged.
How do I add someone to my phone book?
Type the number you want to add in, select"OK". Then Enter their name. The space is the # key to the lower right. Then "OK" and the number is saved. It is a good idea to put in the area code so if you call them when you are traveling you will still be able to use the auto dial.
How do I set an alarm?
Select "Menu" go up one to "Tools/Games" then select "Alarm Clock." Then use the Four Way Navigation Key to change the Time you want to set the alarm and select "Set."
How do I find out my phone number?
Click on "Menu" then "Prepaid" and scroll down to "My Phone Number" and Select.
How do I Check my airtime balance?
Click on "Menu" then "Prepaid" and scroll down to "Airtime Info" and Select.
How do I change the wallpaper on my phone?
You can't. You need to get a different phone--lol---.
How do I use my phone as a flashlight?
This phone does not have a flashlight mode but if you push on some keys the screen will come on and this will give you enough light usually to find the keyhole in your car or house.
How do I send a text message?
Push and hold the 4-way navigation key Up. You will be given the option to "Select address." You can select someone from you contact list, add a new address or someone from the recent list. How do I charge my K126c?
The Charger plugs intothe hole on the bottom of the phone as shown in the picture above.
How do I use the Timer?
Select "Menu" then "Tools/Games" then "Timer". Select "Set" then you will move around the hour, minute, second timer. Then select Start and it will started. You can navigate away from it and it will continute to count down the time. It will ring for about 10 seconds. You can stop the ringing by pushing "OK". You can set the timer for 20 minutes or 5 hours and 20 minutes or 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.--This is a really handy timer function for cooking a roast or so you do not forget a meeting.??
How do I use the Stop Watch?
Click on "Menu" then "Tools/Games" then "Stop Watch." When you want to start hit "OK," even if the screen light has gone out and you hit "OK" the timer will start. You can push one of the number keys to turn the light back on. This stopwatch will keep working even if you navigate away from this screen and take a call or anything. Until you come back and stop it the stop watch will keep going. Most of the Motorola stopwatchs will not work if you navigate away from the stopwatch screen. How do I put my name in my phone so if someone finds it they can get it back to me?
You can put your name and address or home phone or work phone number on a small piece of paper and then tape it on the back of the phone. Or you can put it inside the case next to the battery.
How do I use the Calculator?
The calculator works really well once you get used to it. Click "Menu" then "Tools/Games" select "Calculator". Put the first number in then use the left or right on the Four Way Navigation Key to get to add, subtract, multiply and click select. Now put the second number in and click select. Your answer is in the window. If you want to clear this number use the left arrow to "C" and hit select. This calculator is fast and easy.
How do I go back to the original Kyocera k126c settings?
Select "Menu" then "Settings" then "Factory Reset." This will take all of your entries out of the phone. Your Phonebook and messages will all be erased. This works well if you are going to sell or give away your phone.
How do I lock my K126c so no one else can use it?
Click "Menu" go up to "Settings" go to "Security." Then you have to put in the phone password. "Enter Lock Code" The password from the factory is normally 0000. Then you will be give 5 options "Lock Phone" Limit Calls, "Lock Code," "Erase Contacts," "Emergency #s" It will also keep other people from burning up your minutes without your permission.The Lock Phone options you can choose to lock the phone "Never," "On Startup," "Now."
